Conservation Commission Orders Compliance for Stream Buffer Violations
Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 14, 2026
LANCASTER — Conservation Commission orders compliance for stream buffer violations at George Hill Road. Thomas Seidenberg, chair, led the commission in ordering compliance at 629 George Hill Road after documenting tree clearing and unauthorized roadway construction in the Riverfront Area, requiring tree and shrub replanting and removal of manure and sediment piles from the buffer zone. The commission issued certificates of compliance for completed work at 2056 Main Street and 97 Woodland Meadow Drive, but deferred approval for 320 Bolton Road after discovering three unpermitted structures—an expanded patio with roof and gutter outlet, and a fire pit—built beyond the original approved scope.
The commission unanimously recommended Rebecca Young - Jones for appointment to the board.
