Select Board chooses Lori Rose as Finance Director finalist

Lancaster Select Board hires Lori Rose as Finance Director finalist. The Board voted unanimously to enter contract negotiations with Ms. Rose following interviews with two candidates; Town Administrator John R.
Woodsmall III recommended Ms. Rose, whom he had previously worked with in Bolton. In separate action, the Board unanimously endorsed a zoning amendment reducing the affordability threshold in the North Lancaster Smart Growth District from 25 percent to 20 percent, advancing the town toward full state MBTA Communities compliance; if approved by Town Meeting and the State, Lancaster will achieve complete compliance.
The Board also unanimously approved entertainment and event licenses for the Bay State Chapter Truck Show (August 29-30), a PTSD Awareness Walk (September 19), Halloween on the Green (October 25), and a beer sales license for the Halloween event.
