Select Board approves $5.2 million bond anticipation note for capital projects
Select Board · Meeting of August 18, 2026
Lancaster Select Board approves $5.2 million bond note for capital projects. The Select Board voted unanimously, 3-0, to authorize the sale of $5.23 million in bond anticipation notes at 4 percent interest for a water main project, a $200,000 building assessment project, and a $700,000 sprinkler replacement at the elementary/middle school. Town Administrator John R.
Woodsmall III noted the short-term borrowing will convert to long-term debt in two years at a higher rate. The sprinkler project contract, estimated at $684,000 to $694,000, runs substantially below its original $900,000 approval.
