SELECT BOARD APPROVES INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL FOR GIRLS DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK

Lancaster Select Board approves development framework for Industrial School for Girls property. Voting unanimously, the board authorized Town Administrator John Woodsmall to continue working with the state Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance on the project under the state Affordable Housing Act, with a minimum density of four units per acre. The board must submit feedback on draft state regulations by April 13.
The board voted 2-1-0 to authorize Woodsmall to bring forward one Finance Manager candidate for ratification, with member Ralph Gifford dissenting. Finance Manager Cheryl Gariepy's contract ends June 30, 2026.
