Select Board approves Industrial School for Girls business terms
Select Board · Meeting of February 3, 2026
Lancaster Select Board approved business terms for the Industrial School for Girls MOU and authorized $155,000 in state grants. The board unanimously approved the business terms after Town Counsel review and incorporating feedback from residents and the Commission on Disability, with Town Administrator John R. Woodsmall III authorized to prepare the final memorandum of understanding.
State grant authorizations included $110,000 for Community One-Stop, Rural Development, and Zoning initiatives and $45,000 designated for a new veteran's monument. Board Member Jason A. Allison raised questions about advertising on a town gateway sign but was informed it was erected by the North Central Chamber of Commerce, not the State.
