Agricultural Commission Recommends Against Brockleman Property for Farming
Agricultural Commission · Meeting of February 2, 2026
Lancaster Agricultural Commission formally recommends against agricultural use for Brockleman property. The commission determined that the 21.15-acre Lot C parcel, which contains only four acres of open field with the remainder woodland, lacks sufficient agricultural value for preservation under Massachusetts Chapter 61A. Chair Peter Jakubowicz and members Susan V.
Miner, Maria Moreira, and Stephen Mudgett noted that little quality agricultural land remains in Lancaster. Commissioners Jakubowicz and Moreira reported receiving acceptance letters from the town on their own Chapter 61A applications.
