Council on Aging postpones May minutes, delays reorganization
Council on Aging · Meeting of June 17, 2026
Lancaster Council on Aging tables decisions on May minutes and fiscal year 2027 reorganization. Director Caitlin Roy reported that despite a town-wide budget reduction of $450,000, the community center and Council on Aging operations will not be directly impacted. The committee plans to post a full-time administrative assistant position, funded 80 percent through the Council on Aging, to provide clerical and program support.
Lancaster Day on June 12 drew residents and town boards to a successful community event with live music and food trucks. The new cribbage group meets Thursdays with three to four regular participants, and backgammon programming will be advertised in July.
