Conservation Commission approves emergency demolition at Mill Street

Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 10, 2026

Lancaster Conservation Commission ratifies emergency demolition for Mill Street. Chair Thomas Seidenberg led a three-member quorum in unanimously approving emergency work on a collapsed commercial structure at 210 Mill Street located within the 200-foot Riverfront Area to the Nashua River. Conservation Commission Agent Sam Belanger reported that the Building Inspector raised concerns about further collapse without immediate reinforcement, requiring emergency certification for demolition and structural stabilization.

The Commission also continued a hearing on a ground-mounted solar system installation at 241 Chace Hill Road to April 14.
