LANCASTER — Select Board declares three dogs to be nuisance animals following public hearing. The Board heard sworn testimony from Animal Control Officer Phyllis Tower and Police Chief Everett Moody about repeated incidents involving dogs Jerbear, Good Trouble, and Naughty, owned by Anthony and Natalie Cassatt. The animals have been cited fourteen times with fines totaling several thousand dollars and were involved in property damage and an attack on another dog.

The Board unanimously declared each a nuisance animal and also unanimously authorized support for an $850,000 FEMA fire equipment grant with a town match of $42,500, approved a $325,000 Minuteman Regional vocational school budget transfer, and established a five-member Cable Advisory Committee for Comcast franchise renewal.
