Lancaster Deed Activity Shows Wide Price Gap as Most Sales Await Recorded Prices

Worcester County Registry of Deeds recorded 12 Lancaster property transfers between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19, but only two carried a posted sale price: $40,000 at 2201 N Main St. and $580,000 for an unaddressed Lancaster property sold by Barbara and Joseph Chop to Cornerstone Bank. The median of the two recorded prices is $310,000. The other 10 transfers, spread across separate streets including Langen Road, Old Common Road and George Hill Road, have no price on file yet, a normal recording lag rather than nondisclosure. Eight of the 12 transfers named a bank or credit union as a party, and three involved trustees.
