Finance Committee defers reorganization after Chair Trussell's death
Finance Committee · Meeting of February 11, 2026
LANCASTER — Finance Committee defers reorganization pending spring election. Following Chair Richard Trussell's death, the Finance Committee decided to wait for election results before filling two vacant Finance Committee seats rather than appointing replacements immediately. Acting Chair Roy Rezac reported that FY26 remains on track with 58 percent of the budget expended through January 31, and preliminary FY27 budgets indicate no anticipated major changes.
The committee also addressed an ambulance procurement issue: the current 2014 model with 110,946 miles requiring $23,500 in repairs will be replaced with a new ambulance at $421,475 plus equipment at $71,000, funded from Capital Stabilization to resolve prior lease-purchase procedural deficiencies.
