CPC reviews capital projects, affordable housing trust ahead of February

LANCASTER — Community Preservation Committee reviews capital projects and Affordable Housing Trust proposal. Chair Marilyn Largey led discussion of multiple capital requests competing for limited CPA funds, including Bullfinch Church's $50,000 window restoration and Thayer Field courts estimated at $500,000. The committee discussed establishing an Affordable Housing Trust to serve households at 80 to 120 percent of Area Median Income, approximately $126,000 in Lancaster, though no funds have been allocated yet.
Other projects under review include wayfinding signage at $500,000 and cemetery wall repairs, with about $12,000 previously budgeted for walls but not yet spent.
