Library Board discusses State Aid rollover, building needs
Board of Library Trustees · Meeting of January 14, 2026
LANCASTER — Board of Library Trustees reviews State Aid fund rollover and building priorities. The Board approved December minutes 4-0 and discussed State Aid fund rollover practices, with Director Joseph Mulé reporting that other Massachusetts libraries roll over State Aid contrary to the Library's current practice and MBLC recommendations. The Board identified sprinkler repair in the CVRD Rare Book Room and cracked granite walkway replacement as top infrastructure priorities, with Mulé requesting $250,000 in Green Communities Grant funding.
The Library also faces at least $5,000 in costs to update its website to meet ADA accessibility standards.
