Commission on Disability advances Lancaster Day plans

LANCASTER — Commission on Disability plans accessibility initiatives and pursues grant funding. The five-member commission approved April minutes and authorized Chair Michael McCue to contact the Massachusetts Office of Disability to assist SLCTV with closed captioning funding information. Kathleen Suits prepared an educational handout for Lancaster Day on June 12.

The commission discussed grant applications for accessible picnic tables and beach accessibility and outlined Accessibility Awareness Month plans including a video and annual updates to the Emergency Preparedness Guide. James Peters was assigned to draft an email to town administration regarding electronic document storage and access.
