LANCASTER — Finance Committee defers warrant votes pending finalized numbers. Vice Chair Roy Rezac told the committee he cannot recommend action on warrant articles for a new ambulance, police and fire collective bargaining, and sewer district bills without dollar amounts attached; Town Administrator John Woodsmall is working to finalize figures with department heads and vendors ahead of the March 9 Special Town Meeting. The committee voted 3-0 to approve prior minutes and outlined an intensive budget review schedule for March and April leading to the May 4 Annual Town Meeting.
The FY27 budget proposal would use $915,000 in Free Cash while aiming to maintain level service and hold tax increases within Proposition 2-1/2 limits.
